Yatin Shah, MD – Founder of Primary Care Joliet, Dr. Yatin Shah, has been practicing for over 28 years, including in the Joliet area since 1989. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. He is medical director of Sunny Hill, The Parc of Joliet, Joliet Terrace, and Frankfort Terrace Nursing Homes, as well as a member of the Illinois Board of Pharmacy.
Vicki Mancke, FNP-BC – Graduate of Joliet Junior College, Illinois State University, and Graceland University. She has a BS in Recreation and Park Administration and a BS and MS in Nursing. She has been a board certified family nurse practitioner since 2003. She began her nursing career at Silver Cross Hospital in Intensive Care and worked for 5 years in Allergy and Asthma prior to joining PCJ. She spent 10 years as an insurance broker. Vicki is married and has 2 children and 3 grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family, riding her bike, fishing and windsurfing.
Ram Mukunda, MD – Board certified in Internal Medicine. Currently working as a hospitalist at Silver Cross and Presence St. Joseph Hospital for PCJ. He has also dedicated his time towards care at Skilled Nursing Facilities in Will County.
Linda Hushaw, MSN-FNP – Graduate of St. Xavier University with MSN and FNP degrees and received her BS in nursing at University of Illinois in Chicago. Her specialties include Rheumatoid Arthritis, family practice, women’s health, and she is certified to perform arthrocentesis (joint aspiration) and joint injections. She has co-authored several medical publications. "Over the past 23 years, I have discovered that many health disparities occurring in the community can be eliminated with educating high risk patients about their diet and lifestyle choices. Health care and assisting the elderly is truly my passion!" She enjoys traveling, shelling in Florida and the Caribbean, and watching NFL Football.
Paramjit Sikand, MD – Completed his residency in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He has been with PCJ for 13 years. Board certified in Internal Medicine. He sees patients at Frankfort Terrace and Victory Nursing Homes. He is fluent in Hindi, a member of American College of Physicians, works with "Little Friends" organization for children with autism, and enjoys playing golf, playing tennis, and cooking. "I have been in the field of internal medicine for 20 years and have witnessed the end of one era of medicine and the evolution of another. I try to discuss and educate my patients on these changes along with continuing passionate healthcare."
Melisa Morales, MSN-FNP – Received her MS in Nursing in FNP from Loyola University in 2005 and is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Melisa has over 21 years of nursing experience. She has experience in internal medicine and women’s health.
Niraj Shah, MD – Graduate of Rush Medical College in Chicago. He completed his internship and residency at Rush University Medical Center. Board certified in Internal Medicine. Medical Co-director at The Parc at Joliet Nursing Home. He specializes in primary care, preventative services, and weight loss counseling. He enjoys basketball, trying new and exciting foods, and spending time with his children. "Being in Internal Medicine, I am to build trust with each of my patients. This is the foundation that allows me to achieve each patient's individualized healthcare goals."
Allison Curran, MSN-FNP – Obtained her BS in nursing from Bradley University, MSN and FNP from Loyola University Chicago. She sees adults and children (ages one year and up) and women’s health. She enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, and baking.
Karen Shahan, MSN-APN-FNP-C-- Received her BS in nursing from Purdue University Calumet and MSN from University of St. Francis. She is a part of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She enjoys participating in a book club, investigating paranormal activity, and traveling. "I am committed to improving quality of life through a team approach by educating and encouraging patients to take an active role in their own health. I strongly believe that healthcare is an equal partnership between patient and provider. Therefore, each patient is provided with a tailored healthcare plan that we feel will accomplish healthier outcomes."
Alison Burchardt, MSN-AGNP -- Obtained her BSN and MSN from Lewis University. She holds Advanced Certification in Heart Failure and Advanced Cardiac Life Support by the American Heart Association. "I believe every person has the right to quality healthcare. I treat every patient with kindness and respect. I listen to my patients' concerns and work together with them to achieve their goals." She is married with three children and loves spending time with her family. Alison is involved with the Wilmington coalition for a Healthy Community.
Danielle Ratazak, MSN-APN -- Earned her MSN degree at University of St. Francis. "I went into nursing to make a difference and help people. I started as a nurse in the ICU for seven years, and then went back to school to further my career. What I enjoy most about my job is being able to see patients get better and provide them with education, as well.” She has been married for a 11 years and is a mom of 7-year-old twins and an 8-year-old. She helps coach baseball, loves traveling to Florida, and is actively involved with her kids’ school activities. Danielle also enjoys attending paint & sip events and going to vintage fairs.
Lisa Smith, MSN-APRN-FNP-C -- Attended Lakeview College of Nursing and Lewis University to obtain her BSN and MSN, respectively. She is board certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. "I enjoy getting to know each of my patients on a person level and giving them the best individualized care and treatments to help them excel.” Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband, child, and dog. She loves to travel, cook, and exercise.
Melisa Marcotte, MSN-APRN-FNP-BC-- Studied at Olivet Nazarene University to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and American Nurses Association. “I believe I have always had the soul of a nurse, seeing as how I have always cared for others my whole life. I realized my dream in 2014 and became a registered nurse. I continued to pursue my education and now enjoy being a Nurse Practitioner in nursing homes and skilled nursing facilities. I especially enjoy caring for the geriatric population and look forward to life-long learning in caring for this special population.” Melisa is a long-time resident of Tinley Park. She enjoys spending time with her family, camping, gardening, and practicing yoga.
Melissa Shepherd, MSN-FNP-BC-- Obtained her MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner at University of St. Francis. “I went into nursing to help people and make a difference in their lives. I was an ICU nurse for 17 years, and then decided to go back to school to further my career. Helping my patients and providing them with education to get better is what I enjoy most about my job.” Melissa is married and a mother of three wonderful children. She has lived in Will County her whole life. She enjoys spending time with her family, listening to all genres of music, and traveling to Disney World.
Shelane Solt, FNP-BC-- Attended Chamberlain College of Nursing and Olivet Nazarene University to earn her MSN and Family Nurse Practitioner post-master’s certificate, respectively. “I believe everyone is entitled to quality care and our patients deserve to be treated like family. I love coming to work to deliver quality care and a caring atmosphere to my patients.” Shelane enjoys boating, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She is married and is a mother of three children.
Mustafa Aladin, MD -- Graduated with high honors in 2015 from American University of Antigua College of Medicine. Completed his residency in combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics (Med/Peds) at SUNY University at Buffalo in Buffalo, NY. He was also a chief resident during his last year of residency. He enjoys playing cricket and is an avid Chicago Whitesox fan! "I chose to practice Med/Peds so I can be a versatile physician caring for both children (Pediatrics) and adults (Internal Medicine) and serve my local community specially with growing population."
Vincent Gutierrez, PT, DPT -- Graduated with a Master’s Degree from Governor’s State in 2007 and earned his certification in Mechanical Diagnosis in Therapy in 2010. He subsequently earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from GSU in 2016. Working at Palos Community Hospital, he started an acute spine care program and Physical Therapy in the Emergency department. In 2017, he was ranked among the Top 40 influencers of the physical therapy profession by UpDoc Media. He has a website at movementthinker.org, a podcast at A physio’s perspective, and is an active mentor on the DPTMENTORS page through FB. He is the current chair of the Illinois Physical Therapy Associations Mentorship Program. Vince grew up in both the East Side of Joliet and Elwood.
Adam Siwiec, PT, DPT -- Graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology in 2015, and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2018. His previous clinical experiences have taken him to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the University of Illinois Hospital, and the Delnor Health and Fitness Center, where he was able to work with patients with a wide variety of conditions, including cancer, post-operative hip, knee, and shoulder replacements, and work-related injuries. Outside of the clinic, Adam enjoys working out, playing soccer, and watching movies.
Yazmin Adame, PTA -- Graduated from Morton College to obtain her Physical Therapist Assistant degree. She continues to further her education in the healthcare field. She enjoys treating all populations and is enthusiastic about listening to each individual patient's story to build a patient relationship and provide skilled care. Outside of work she enjoys outdoor activities, trying new foods, and spending time with family/friends and dogs.
